Job Description

  • Develop and execute a creative and innovative culinary vision that aligns with the Savoy Bar & Grill brand and concept.
  • Lead and inspire the culinary team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Design and update menus that showcase the finest ingredients, seasonal flavors, and culinary trends.
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, to maintain consistency and excellence in taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Manage inventory and food cost control measures, ensuring optimal utilization of ingredients and minimizing waste.
  • Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, culinary techniques, and new ingredients to bring innovation and creativity to the menu offerings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, farmers, and other partners to source high-quality ingredients.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role within a high-end restaurant or culinary establishment.
  • Extensive culinary knowledge and expertise, with a demonstrated ability to create and execute exceptional dishes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse culinary team.
  • Excellent creativity and ability to develop unique and memorable culinary creations.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen, with experience in menu development, cost control, and financial management.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations and the ability to ensure compliance in the kitchen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
