“Raven Gale-Ann Rutherford a singer, songwriter began her career at a young age singing in her Grandfather’s Pentecostal Church in Omaha, NE.  Her musical talents became apparent as she went on to perform with the Red Higgins Quartet.  Reaching back to her gospel roots, Raven performed with the Grammy Award winning Harmony Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Reverend Harold Johnson.  

 Raven has sung backup vocals with such R & B legends as Lalomie Washburn and the Temptations. Her unique and sultry vocals have been accompanied by well-known instrumentalist Billy Rich and Curly Martin. 

 Raven’s eclectic, sultry style has been influenced by a wide array of musical genre’s from jazz to country and western.  Lovingly known in New Mexico as a Jazz and Blues artist, Raven hit the musical scene after a recent bout with Breast Cancer.  Besides performing with her own band, Raven Rutherford and her Sweet Potato Pie Band, she also performs with the musical legend Frank Chiwiwi – her musical mentor, friend and fellow artist – Darin Goldson and recently with the Great Arlen Asher.
